Emerging Technology Lead

Want to be the driving force behind emerging tech adoption across Logan and create real impact for our city?

As UiLab's Emerging Technology Lead, you'll be our public face for tech adoption. You'll identify capability gaps across Logan, then design and deliver programs that equip people to thrive - whether that's building teacher confidence in AI, future proofing students, or helping industry leaders adopt automation that transforms their operations.

Working in a modern, hybrid environment with a professional, capable team and access to the latest tech, you'll be an ambassador, educator, and advocate building bridges between cutting-edge technology and the people and businesses that stand to benefit most.

You’ll make impact happen by:

  • Leading UiLab's advocacy for emerging tech adoption across schools, industry and community

  • Identifying who needs upskilling and designing targeted programs from beginner to advanced

  • Creating engaging learning content across AI, robotics, automation, coding and emerging tech

  • Delivering workshops, training sessions and meetups across Logan

  • Building relationships with educators, manufacturers, businesses and community organisations

  • Translating complex tech into practical, real-world solutions people can actually use

  • Representing UiLab at events, forums and public engagements

Every program you create and every workshop you deliver positions Logan to thrive in the age of AI, robotics and automation.

You’ll bring:

  • 5+ years in technology education, community engagement or industry outreach

  • Strong understanding of AI and genuine curiosity about emerging tech

  • Proven ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical audiences

  • Experience designing programs for diverse audiences and delivering engaging training

  • Track record building partnerships and stakeholder relationships

  • Exceptional communication skills and cultural awareness

  • Valid driver's licence (travel across Logan required)

This role is for you if you're:

  • Community-minded with a genuine drive to see others succeed

  • A passionate advocate for technology equity and empowerment

  • A team player who thrives in fast-paced, ambitious environments

  • A creative problem-solver who finds practical solutions

  • Calm under pressure and able to build trust-based relationships
